Our commitment

Category Impact wants every visitor to be able to read, navigate and contact us, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced motion settings. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA.

What we have done

• Semantic headings, landmarks and a skip link so keyboard and screen reader users can jump straight to the main content.
• Full keyboard operation with visible focus styles, and dialogs that close with the Escape key.
• Text and interface colours checked for contrast against the navy, black and yellow palette, with no meaning carried by colour alone.
• Decorative illustrations and animations are hidden from assistive technology, and all motion is reduced or stopped when your device requests reduced motion.
• Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, labelled links and buttons, and layouts that reflow on mobile without horizontal scrolling.

Known limits

The site links to third-party services such as WhatsApp and publisher pages for the books we recommend. We do not control the accessibility of those services. Some rich illustrations convey atmosphere rather than information, so they are presented as decorative.
