Who is responsible
This site is operated by Ila Bialystok, trading as Category Impact, based in Israel and working with clients internationally. For anything in this policy, contact ila@categoryimpact.com.
What we collect
This site has no account system and no newsletter sign-up. We receive personal information only when you choose to contact us by email, phone, or WhatsApp, typically your name, contact details, company and the content of your message. Our hosting provider also records standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, which are used to keep the site secure and available.
Why we use it and on what basis
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, to discuss and run a consulting engagement, and to keep the site working and secure. Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, our legal bases are your own initiative in contacting us and the performance of a contract, plus our legitimate interest in site security, and legal obligations where we must keep records. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising and we do not use it for automated decision making or profiling.
Who processes it
Information may be handled by the providers that host this site, deliver our email and messaging, and provide aggregate traffic statistics. They act on our instructions and may only use the data to provide those services. Because these providers and our clients are international, your information may be stored or accessed outside your country, with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept while the conversation or working relationship is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, and longer only where tax or other law requires it. Technical logs are short lived.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you and request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your data, or that we stop using it, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to ila@categoryimpact.com and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows. If you are in the EEA or the UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses only the cookies and storage needed to serve pages and measure aggregate traffic. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to any content here.
Children
The site is aimed at founders, executives and business audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and if you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you send us, though no method of transmission is completely secure. If this policy changes, the date above shows the current version. Questions go to ila@categoryimpact.com.
